5 months, 11 countries, 10.000 km, a film about life
The convoy moves along the path of the ancient Silk Road from Europe to India. The old trade route connects on several ways the Orient with the Occident and is one of the oldest routes in the world. On this route goods were alyways exchanged, such as silk, jade, spices, gold and glass. And traders, showmen, musicians and scholars traveled miles and miles passing through important commercial centers including Isfahan, the former capital of Persia.
Breathtaking scenery as the Tuff landscape Cappadocia in Turkey, the great salt desert Kavir in Iran or the Himalayas, the greatest mountains in the world, are on our route.
Route: Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India, Nepal
The trip will last for five months from July to November 2015. The distance is around 10,000 km. At 7 hours daily driving time and a speed of 50 km/h, the travel time would take 30 days.
The route is chosen so that it runs through countries that differ in their language, culture, religion and geography a lot. Though a broad spectrum is covered. Regarding faith countries get crossed with Christianity, Islam (Sufism), Animism, Tibetan Buddhism and Hinduism.
